To celebrate #Pride Month, the Twitter feed associated with the United States Marine Corps posted an image of a soldier’s helmet with the words “Proud To Serve” scrawled across the side and bullets of each color of the rainbow tucked into the helmet’s elastic band. The public response – from the left and the right – was swift to excoriate the Corps for this hamfisted attempt at virtue signaling and glossing over the death-dealing the United States Armed Forces perpetuate across the globe.
